Assesses, provides, and documents speech, language, dysphagia, and related services to both inpatient and outpatient populations across the age spectrum. Evaluates, re-evaluates, plans, and implements individual treatment plans tailored to meet the needs of each individual patient. 

Minimum Requirements: 

Education: Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology required.

Licensure: Current and valid New York State License in Speech-Language Pathology required.

Professional Certifications: American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certification in Speech-Language Pathology; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required.

Experience: 1 –2 Years Speech language pathology in a medically related environment with experience in communication, cognition, assistive, and augmentative communication disorders and dysphagia; 1 –2 Years Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Test (MBS) or Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing with Sensory Testing (FEEST) and ventilator dependent patients required.

Other: Ability to be credentialed consistent with the Medical Staff by-laws, required. Must be completely credentialed before starting position.
