About the event
This presentation explores the role of errors in learning during cognitive rehabilitation. It highlights the neuroscience behind error and performance monitoring and introduces a decision tree for tailoring feedback and support strategies based on the patient’s cognitive profile. Key principles of neuroplasticity are discussed to promote functional recovery and independence.
Dayna Martinez, MA, CCC-SLP, TSSLD, CBIS is a pediatric medical speech-language pathologist at Blythedale Children's Hospital, as well as a graduate clinical educator at CUNY Lehman, with a specific research interest in acquired brain injury and knowledge translation. She became a Certified Brain Injury Specialist in 2019.
