Aphasia/Apraxia

Using tCDS in Speech-Based Stroke Rehabilitation

Who can participate:

  • Individuals with aphasia/apraxia following stroke

  • English is primary language

  • Difficulty producing speech

Language therapy and memory training for PPA

Who can participate:

  • Adults 18+ with primary progressive aphasia

  • English speakers

Principal Investigator: Mara Steinberg-Lowe, PhD & Amy Vogel-Eyny, PhD

Location: Queens College (65-30 Kissena Blvd) and Hunter College (425 East 25th Street)

Dysphagia

Who can participate:

  • 18 years or older

  • History or diagnosis of head and neck cancer

  • No history of uncontrolled hypertension or allergy to capsaicin

Diagnostic study on airway protection for HNC patients

Who can participate:

  • 18 years or older

  • History or diagnosis of head and neck cancer

  • No history of uncontrolled hypertension or allergy to capsaicin
