About the event

This presentation explores Speech-Language Pathologists’ (SLPs’) and interprofessional team members’ perceptions of the SLP value along with knowledge of the SLP scope of practice. We will discuss how these perceptions can be shifted in the IPC space moving forward.

Rosangela Catalano, SLPD, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with over 5 years of experience working in the adult neurogenic communication and swallowing disorder space. Rosangela recently completed her clinical doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology at Kean University where her research focused on the SLP's role in interprofessional collaboration. Rosangela is passionate about SLP self-advocacy in healthcare settings in order to be better utilized and incorporated in patient care.
